Staff Qualifications

All DCPS professional staff are licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to practice psychiatry, psychology, social work or counseling and have an average of eight years of post-graduate experience. All DCPS clinicians receive professional supervision at least twice per month, with new staff participating at least weekly for the first six months of employment. As a condition of employment, each DCSP clinician is required to participate in ethics training provided by DCPS. (Therapists office locations are listed under Contact & Locations.)

 

 


Margaret Mary Albright, MS, LPC Psychotherapist ~ Margaret Mary Albright received a Master of Science degree in Pastoral Counseling at Neumann College in 2001.  She is a national Board Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and serves on the Governor’s Mental Health Advisory Committee.  Ms. Albright’s has 30 years experience and her treatment focus is with young children, parents, and couples.   

Robert Anderson, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Robert Anderson received a Master's degree in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Services and Social Research in 1983. He currently treats pre-adolescents, adolescents, and adults.

 

 Farimehr Arbab-Thompson, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Fari Thompson received a Master's degree in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Services and Social Research in 1988, and also received a Master's degree of Education in Counseling from Antioch Graduate School in 1976. She is a licensed clinical social worker whose primary practice involves the treatment of adolescents and adults. An area of major expertise for Fari is the treatment of women with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.

Theresa Armandi, MA, LPC Psychotherapist ~ Theresa Armandi received a Masters Degree in Psychology from LaSalle University in 1995. She is a licensed professional counselor who treats children, adolescents, adults and families. Specialties include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the treatment of depression, anxiety and other mood disorders. Additional specialties include the treatment of behavioral difficulties and parenting issues.

Kim Baron, PhD Psychotherapist ~ Kim Baron is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who received her doctorate in Clinical and Health Psychology from Drexel University. She draws from a variety of theoretical frameworks, and specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety. Dr. Baron’s additional areas of specialty include stress management, relaxation training, and coping with chronic illness.

Stephanie Bergey, LCSWPsychotherapist ~ Stephanie Anderson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Masters Degree from Temple University. She primarily works with Adults and Adolescents specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders and substance abuse as well as general stressors stemming from life transitions. She is a strengths based clinician who utilizes a variety of strategies including cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques to facilitate change.

Daniel Brown, M.A., L.P.C. Psychotherapist ~ Daniel Brown is a psychotherapist with a license in professional counseling for the state of Pennsylvania. He received his Master’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology from American University in Washington, DC. and has undergraduate degrees in both Psychology and Theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. He specializes in the treatment of adults and adolescents with major life adjustments, emotional difficulties, spiritual concerns, relationship issues, sexual compulsion, substance abuse, and severe mental illness.

Michael Coppens, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Michael Coppens is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received his Master's degree in Social Work at West Chester University and has over 18 years experience working in a variety of settings in the mental/behavioral health field.  He treats adults, adolescents, couples, and families utilizing an eclectic theoretical orientation, including Cognitive Behavioral. His primary treatment focus is with mood disorders, adolescent behavioral problems, grief/loss, ADHD, trauma, marital/couples therapy, anger and conflict resolution. Michael's philosophy is to provide a safe and supportive treatment environment in order to promote healing and growth, while allowing for client self-determination.
 

Lynne DiCaprio, MA Psychologist ~ Lynne DiCaprio, MA, is the Founder and Director of DCPS. A licensed psychologist, Lynne received a Master's degree in Psychology from West Chester University and has thirty years of experience serving the mental health needs of children and adults. She has presented hundreds of training programs and seminars to business organizations, school districts, special interest and community groups.

Mary Dougherty, MA Psychologist ~ Mary Dougherty received a Master's degree in Psychology from Fordham University in 1979. She is a licensed psychologist who specializes in relaxation training, stress reduction, and coping with chronic pain. Mary also has extensive experience with providing therapy for patients with significant health issues, including chronic or terminal illness.

Cara Dyson-O,Connor, LPC Psychotherapist ~ Cara Dyson-O’Connor earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University in 2010.  She works primarily with adolescents and adults, specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.  Cara incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to achieve change. 

Joel Esterman, M.Ed Psychologist ~ Joel Esterman is a licensed psychologist. He has 44 years experience in both the state hospital and community behavioral health systems. His primary focus is with adults suffering from depression, anxiety and loss.

 

Claudia Filippino, LMFT, PhD Psychotherapist ~ Claudia Filippino received her Bachelor’s in Nursing in 1973, Masters of Holistic Studies in 1987 and Masters Doctorial Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1993. Her focus in therapy is the narrative and solution focused model. She particularly  enjoys working with artistic personalities and has a broad knowledge of how behavioral and medical issues are interdependent.

Joseph Francisco, LPC Psychotherapist ~ Joe Francisco has been working in the mental health field for over 25 years as a counselor, social worker, group therapist and clinical coordinator. After graduating from Drexel University with a Creative Arts in Therapy Masters Degree, he has worked with children, adults, substance abuse, families, and couples. His clinical preferences are CBT and DBT. In his free time Joe enjoys an active lifestyle including sports, photography and travel.

Joanna Frederick, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Johanna Frederick received a Master's Degree in Social Wrok from Bryn Mawr College in 2007 and then completed a 3 year post graduate fellowship at Swathmore College's Counseling and Psychological Services. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief and trauma. She has worked at a variety of inpatient, outpatient and residential treatment centers in the area. 

David Galbraith, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ David Galbraith earned his master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Since then he has received training in Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy from the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Center and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Center for Cognitive Therapy. David treats adolescents, adults, couples, and families specializing in depression, anxiety, and parenting.

 

Stacey M Gill, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Stacey Gill received her Master's in Social Work from Widener University in 2005. She is a licensed clinical social worker who treats children, adolescents and adults. She specializes in the treatment of adolescent and adult children of addicts and those recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.

Richard Glover, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Richard Glover received a BS from Hahnemann University Hospital in 1979. He received a Master's degree in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Services and Social Research in 1986. He is a licensed social worker who specializes in the treatment of sexual abuse and posttraumatic stress disorder.

Kyle Holsinger, PsyD Psychologist ~ Kyle Holsinger is a licensed psychologist and received a Doctorate degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. He is the Clinical Director for the practice and sees children and adults. Dr. Holsinger also specializes in providing therapy for patients suffering from chronic medical conditions.

Bryce Kasuba, MA, LPC, NCC, MAC Psychotherapist ~ Bryce received his Master’s degree in counseling at Fairfield University in 1996.  He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Master Addiction Counselor, and trained in Motivational Interviewing at Yale University.  Bryce specializes in treating adults with depression and anxiety disorders, along with substance abuse issues.  He has managed clinical trials in these areas as well as ADHD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.

Erika Kawamura, PsyD Psychologist ~ Erika Kawamura is a licensed psychologist and received dual degrees in Doctor of Psychology and Master of Science in Human Resource & Organizational Leadership from Widener University in 2007. She works with older adolescents and adults. Her specialties include adjustment/life transition issues, health and wellness issues, career/vocational/workplace issues, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and women's issues. She also presents seminars on employee and workplace wellness topics at corporations through an employee assistance program and serves as a board member on the American Anorexia and Bulimia Association of Philadelphia.

 

Marjorie Levitt, PHD Psychologist ~ Marjorie Levitt is a licensed psychologist who has experience and expertise in working with multicultural populations, including gay, lesbian and bisexual adults. In addition, her practice includes work with artists, writers and other creative individuals. She is on the faculty at Temple University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her most recent publication is a chapter on Art Therapy iin schools.

 

Steven Levy, M.D. Psychopharmacologist ~ Dr. Levy received his Medical Degree from Hahnemann Medical College in 1975. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Crozier-Chester Medical Center in 1976 and his Psychiatric Residency at Hahnemann Hospital in 1980. Dr. Levy specializes in adult psychiatry with other related areas of interest being Disorders of the Voice. Dr. Levy is affiliated with Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Wendy Martini, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Wendy Martini received a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 and received an undergraduate degree in psychology from the Penn State University in 1990. Wendy treats children, adolescents, and adults, and specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and geriatrics.

Jeanne Mayo, LMFT Psychotherapist ~ Jeanne Mayo has 10 years experience treating individuals, families and couples.  She has a wide range of expertise treating depression, anxiety, autistic Disorder, ADHD and trauma.  She graduated from Drexel University with a Masters of Family Therapy.  She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.   

Cathy McNally, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Cathy McNally is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an Masters degree in Social Work as well as a Masters degree in Public Health from The University of California at Berkeley.  She has extensive experience treating adults around a variety of issues including depression; anxiety; health crises and challenges; women’s health issues including pregnancy loss, infertility and adoption; parenting/relationship challenges.

Robert Palladino, Jr., M.Ed. Psychologist ~ Robert J. Palladino received a Master's degree in Psychology from Temple University in 1982. He is a licensed psychologist who treats adults. Bob specializes in the treatment of people with grief issues, ADHD, and affective and anxiety disorders.

Maryn Penning M.Ed., LPC, NCC Psychotherapist Maryn Penning received her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education in 2008 from West Chester University. She worked as a school counselor for five years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified School Counselor in Pennsylvania and trained Ally. Ms. Penning treats children, adolescents and adults with a special interest in working with adolescents.

Lori Peta, M.Ed, LPC Psychotherapist ~ Lori Peta received her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University in 1992. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults in treating depression, anxiety, women's issues and parenting/family stress.

Judy Rader, M.A., L.M.F.T. Psychotherapist ~ is a licensed marriage and family therapist whose practice includes individuals, couples, and families. Judy's areas of expertise include: couples work, particularly communication skills and relationship enhancement; parenting issues; divorce and co-parenting; infidelity/affairs; blended families; and sex-therapy. Judy is a trained EMDR practitioner who uses this powerful processing modality as an adjunctive treatment for depression, anxiety, and trauma. Jane Raimondi, MA, LMFT Psychotherapist ~ Jane Raimondi received her Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from LaSalle University in 2007. Now a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she works with adults, adolescents, couples and families. James Rao, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ James Rao is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and practices as an individual and family therapist for children from ages 6 through adolescence as well as adults. He received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Binghamton University and his Master's degree in Social Work from Hunter College in New York City. Mr. Rao has a special interest in working with individuals (adolescents and adults) and families with chronic health conditions, depression, anxiety, and trauma, and has worked with individuals with alcohol/drug addiction. In addition, Mr. Rao is currently enrolled in a PhD program in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at The Institute for Clinical Social Work.

Marjorie M. Rubin, Psy.D Psychologist  ~ Marge Rubin is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, who earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University in 1999.  She received a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Temple University, and taught in the Philadelphia public school system for more than 30 years prior to working as a full-time psychologist.  She has also worked as adjunct professor at several area colleges. Dr. Rubin treats children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a special interest in play therapy. She is a certified Gestalt Therapist, and combines a variety of orientations in order to meet the specific needs of each client. 

Laura Russo-Innamorato LCSW, PsyD Psychologist ~ Dr. Russo-Innamorato is a licensed psychologist who received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also received a Master's degree in Social Work from the Bryn Mawr College School of Social Work and Social Research in 1994 and is a licensed clinical social worker. Carol Scanlon, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Carol Scanlon received a Master's degree in Social Work from Temple University in 1982. Steven Simminger, Ph.D. Psychologist ~ Steven Simminger received a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University in 1971. Dr. Simminger treats children, adolescents and adults and is experienced in both marital and family therapy.

 

Maddi-Jane Sobel, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Maddi-Jane Sobel completed her M.S.W. from the University of Pennsylvania. She then obtained her A.C.S.W. designation.  Post master’s clinical training consists of one year specialization in couple counseling and sex therapy from the Van Hammet Clinic at Hahneman University under Dr. Ilda Fischer and one year internship under Dr. Salvatore Minuchin at Child Guidance.  She received the designation of Diplomate in Clinical Social Work {DCSW}.  Ms. Sobel was the former assistant director of the Joseph J. Peters Institute and has been a consultant to more than five Children and Youth Agencies.  She has been in practice since 1979.

Paree Stoulis, LCSW Psychotherapist ~ Paree Stoulis received her Master's degree in Social Work from Rutgers University in 1984. She is a licensed social worker who treats young children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She also works with adults and specializes in working with recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, lesbians and gay men, and sexual abuse survivors. In addition to being licensed to practice psychotherapy, Ms. Stoulis has been certified by the National Association of Social Workers as a Qualified Clinical Social Worker and by the Academy of Certified Social Workers to be an Independent Clinical Practitioner.

Brianna D. Thero, LPC Psychotherapist ~ Brianna Thero is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University and a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.  Brianna has worked with diverse populations along with children, adolescents, adults and families in different settings with concerns such as anxiety, trauma, psychosis, co-occurring concerns, mood disorders, and depression.  Brianna uses therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, meditation and mindfulness techniques and these services are provided in a exploratory, comprehensive, and holistic manner.

Sandy Thompson, LPC Psychotherapist ~ Sandy Thompson received a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Hahnemann University in 1995. She is a licensed professional counselor who provides individual therapy to children, adults, and older adults. Sandy specializes in art therapy.

Jason Vastardis, LPC Psychotherapist ~ Jason Vastardis graduated from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in 2009 with a Master’s degree in clinical counseling. He then went on to work with a variety of populations struggling with depression, grief, substance abuse, trauma, anxiety and relationship conflict. Jason specializes in mindfulness and relaxation exercises to help people become more present in their daily lives. He offers a safe and non-judgmental environment for individuals who wish to explore the issues preventing their growth. 

 

Emily Vener, MS, JD, LPC, CAC Psychotherapist ~ Emily received a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1985. She is a licensed professional counselor who treats adolescents and adults. Emily specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, co-occurring substance abuse, and dissociative disorders as well as life transitions and stressors including parenting concerns, family substance abuse (ACOA related issues), co-dependence and elder care. Emily is also a practicing attorney and divorce and custody mediator.

Susan A. Wagner, MS, LPCPsychotherapist ~  Susan Wagner is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Villanova University in 2009. She has special interest in the treatment of depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, stress reduction, spiritual issues, and pain management. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness, and traditional Asian mind/body therapies such as acupressure and qigong

Beverly White, Psy.D. Psychologist ~ Beverly White, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist who received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she also serves as a faculty member. Dr. White has expertise in utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy for a variety of disorders. She specializes in treating adolescents and adults with anxiety disorders (phobias, panic and OCD), ADHD, and affective disorders in individual and family therapy.

Julie Williams, LPC Psychotherapist ~ is a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds a degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia.  She provides psychotherapy to individuals diagnosed with mental health and/or substance related challenges.  She is skilled in using techniques such as Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and ACT.  She helps patients with problem solving and critical – thinking skills.

Charles J. Wilson, Ed.D. Psychologist ~ Charles J. Wilson received a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University in 1973. He is a licensed psychologist who has been in practice for over 20 years. Dr. Wilson treats children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He is in private practice in Blue Bell, PA.
 

Donna Wolf, LCSW, MFA Psychotherapist ~ Donna Wolf received a Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University in 1985. She also has a Masters in Fine Arts (Writing) from Columbia University.  She is a licensed clinician with specialties in individual, couple, and family therapy.  She is a certified psychoanalyst and family therapist, and she also specializes in treating individuals in the arts.
